Een profielspot licht mijn installatie "Nebula Antenna" uit en creëert een projectie op een satellietschotel. De glazen bol draait langzaam rond waardoor er zich een boeiend lichtspektakel vormt. Vanuit de microkosmos van het glas ontstaat er een macrokosmos uit de reflecties, een continu proces van transformatie. De gestolde objecten laten zien hoe het amorfe glas zich gedraagt tijdens het transformatieproces. De sferen lijken wel cellen, virussen, organische vormen uit de natuur. Glas is een amorfe stof waarbij ionen, atomen of moleculen niet regelmatig geordend zijn. Mijn fascinatie voor de natuur en de kosmos weerspiegelt zich in het glas. Door het toevoegen van energie zijn we in staat materialen te transformeren. Dit proces speelt zich voortdurend af rondom ons. Het resultaat zijn unieke gestolde illusies die het mysterie en de verwondering van het materiaal weerspiegelen.

of the glass, a macrocosm emerges from the reflections, a continuous process of transformation.
The solidified objects show how the amorphous glass behaves during the transformation process. The spheres look like cells, viruses, organic forms from nature. Glass is an amorphous substance where ions, atoms or molecules are not regularly ordered. My fascination for nature and the cosmos reflects in the glass. By adding energy we are able to transform materials. This process is constantly happening around us. The results are unique solidified illusions that reflect the mystery and wonder of the material.
